a poem

the constant urge to

write these words

no longer lingers

in my bones;

the sudden phrases

no longer appear nor

echo in my mind

at the same rate

they used to.

however, i will not

miss them

for they brought

sorrow and heartache

despite the innate healing

power of creating

art from pain.
